xFilm has signed a co-production agreement with Eclipse Films for the creation of Hamlet, written by Fred and Sebastian Armesto.
This dark, contemporary psychological thriller takes place over one intense night. A wedding party turns into a drug-fuelled rave and, ultimately, a bloodbath.
Hamlet is nineteen and tormented by visions of his murdered father. He knows he’s out of his depth. He fears he’s out of his mind.
Award-winning feature film director Stefan Georgiou will direct this classical tale, plunging it into the modern day to shine a new light on the grief and mental unravelling of the eponymous hero. The film will be produced by Paul Harry Thomas and Andrew Berg and is scheduled to shoot in October 2023.
